As one of the most fashionable and desirable alcohols of choice, it’s no surprise that UK gin sales are on the rise. In fact, the Wine and Spirit Trade Association has reported that 2017 was a record-breaking year for gin, with sales increasing by 27% when compared with the previous 12 months.
While its re-established success has naturally seen an increase in the amount of gin and tonics being poured, the much-loved beverage has also become a key ingredient for copious amounts of sweet treats, now appearing in everything from cheesecakes and tarts to chocolates and jellies.
Recognising the want for gin-infused produce early, Dartmoor-based Clare’s Preserves developed its Pink Exmoor Gin Marmalade, a product that utilises the very best of local ingredients (and allows us to get our gin-fix before 9am without judgement)!
Delicious spread on warm toast or on top of a sugary pastry, Clare’s Preserves has partnered with Exmoor Wicked Wolf Gin to create a truly south-western taste. The premium craft gin, which combines 11 exotic botanicals, is distilled on Exmoor, just over 50 miles from the home and hub of Clare’s Preserves.
A firm favourite among customers, the Pink Exmoor Gin Marmalade has been widely recognised, obtaining a Gold award at both the Dalemain Marmalade Awards (the world’s original marmalade awards) and the Taste of the West Awards 2016.
If you’re a gin lover, you won’t want to miss this!
