The Mango Salsa Chutney by Newton & Pott is one of Heartisan Fine Foods’ more unique and intriguing products, offering a cross between an old-style mango chutney and a Mexican-inspired salsa.

Dating back to as early as 500 BC, chutney is defined as a sauce or relish of East Indian origin. A salsa, on the other hand, was first created at a much later date, founded in Central America and defined as a sauce containing chilli.

Fun fact: The word ‘salsa’ is Spanish for ‘sauce’!

Newton & Pott’s Mango Salsa Chutney combines key aspects of these two world-renowned recipes, blending the common ingredients of a chutney (such as mangos, garlic and brown sugar) with the common ingredients of a salsa (i.e. limes, chilli and red onion), resulting in the perfect partner for grilled fish, meats or even avocado on toast (according to one of our customers)!

With summer fruits now being available (near enough) all-year round, the Mango Salsa Chutney from Newton & Pott doesn’t need to be a seasonal treat, but instead can be enjoyed throughout the year.
