Ploughman’s Lunch with Posh Piccalilli

This traditional British lunch is (in our opinion) the very best way to enjoy the famed Posh Piccalilli from Newton & Pott. Bringing together a range of tasty ingredients with varying flavours, this filling lunch guarantees to hit the spot, and can be created in a matter of minutes! If you fancy furthering your condiments, why not also add some of Newton & Pott’s Caramelised Red Onion Chutney to your plate?


• 250g of cheddar cheese
• Loaf of crusty bread
• 6 thick ham/beef slices
• 4 hard-boiled eggs
• 4 large pickled onions

• 2 large tomatoes
• 4 spring onions
• 150g radishes

  1. Slice the crusty bread into thick slices (butter if desired) and place on a large platter/plate.
  2. Slice the cheddar into smaller chunks.
  3. Add all other ingredients to the platter and arrange ensuring you are happy with the presentation.
  4. Add a dollop of Posh Piccalilli to the platter along with Caramelised Red Onion Chutney (if desired).
